@Discorama On the 04 it is right on the front of the transfer case

The switch is just under the two hard lines. If you follow the wire that goes over them. You will see it slightly to the left and above the drive shaft nut

Dug into finding my coolant leak, radiators cracked all along the driver side where the plastic meets the aluminum.
Gonna order one tonight.
Any huge issues with the 100.00 radiators on rock auto? Vs the 200 ish nissen rads? Never mind. Rock auto rad is a nissen just much less $$ than other places.

Also installed the Hayden 2991 severe duty fan clutch along with the Dorman 620-112 fan. My old fan clutch was pretty much free spooling.
The severe duty sounds like a dump truck. I kinda dig it

Trying to get a complete parts list together to do the inline mod for the thermostat also.

Little cracks circled ooze coolant and are all down the side of the radiator.

I got the $65 ebay one, works great so far, arrived in two days. And the complete inline mod from extinct on this board, super easy install, everything was included and it look clean. Whole operation was a couple hours going slowly.

be careful on the rad install to not put too much pressure on the oil and trans cooling lines. The push fittings are a major weak link and once they leak they never stop.

Almost have the bi-xenon projector retofit project wrapped up. Just need to seal up headlights and finish polishing the housing lenses. Then some wiring and figure out exactly how to get the facelift headlights into my 99...ridiculously excited to see how this works out.

heres close to where I’m at. Only difference is I’ve wiped all of that down so no finger prints and smudges. Going to seal everything up before I finish the housing lenses to avoid any double work in case i scuff them when clamping everything back together. I’ll make a post with everything when it’s all done!

Why HID and not LED for the low beam?

The low beam slot is a bi-xenon projector so HID high and low. Price and from my understanding greater light throw dictated doing the HIDs. I put a LED high only projector in that slot bc why not? Seemed silly to leave that area unused. I will have the LED wired to an independent switch, hoping they act as a nice spotlight. The HID portion already will make my spots on my bumper a moot point so figured the LED projectors were cheaper than retrofitting some Baja design squadrons into that space (maybe I'll try that on my next set for my wife's D2).

edit: If that makes any sense. Might have gone a little all over the place on the response lol

So I got an extra set of headlights to do this mod. Am going to follow yours and another person on here's instructions/pics. I have some projectors from 2010 honda accord headlights but I think they are too big.
