Default What is going on?

Oh man, back at it again.

I have been noticing that my truck has been noisy lately as it seems like perhaps it's running hot. I checked my temp via the ODBII connection and it says the thermostat temp is 208 degrees.

My transmission temp sensor light is also on, and my fan seems to be wobbling and making noise.

This is killing me. Any ideas?

208 degrees is not unusual for these vehicles, but you might want to check the fan clutch, and water pump. Also install a 180 degree thermostat.

The member above pretty much nailed it.

I would guess the fan wobble and high temps are related to the water pump going out. I would also buy a Genuine Grey 180 soft spring T-Stat to help keep your temps down around 186-194

I was going to just buy a new water pump because i'm sure it's an issue, it seems to be making noises, and the other day I was hearing a high pitch whine or whistle, so perhaps that is the pump going.

Tell me more about the fan clutch. Do you think this is an issue? Do I need to replace it. i am not sure about the details of the fan clutch on this vehicle. Thanks.
