What type pf battery do you guys like
I have a red top optima. It works great. I left the dome light on all night in 25 degree weather and it started with no problem. The yellow top would be better if your doing alot of winching.

I live in the Northwest and have always got my batteries from Les Schwab. Their batteries last forever, and when I go in for tire rotation they do maintinance on my battery every time for no charge. It's a great company.

I have an Optima Blue Top. It's ok, but after reading the hit and miss reliability of them (and seeing one have an internal short at Pismo) I plan to swap to a Sears DieHard Platinum Marine PM-1. It IS the Odyssey PC2150 that EE sells for $350. It's made in the same factory with a different shell. Also, a single Optima probably doesn't have enough CCA to run a winch for very long or keep it cool. The Optima Blue Top (D34M) has 850 CCA the PM-1 has 1150.

Had it for about 4 mo's and going good.
