Question When can the manual lock be operated ?

Hello.

The manual lift/push **** on the window sill trough the door panel; when can and cannot be pushed/pulled and accomplishes what ? With engine running, what does pushing it does and can be pulled to undo ?
With engine not running, keyfob not involved, same: can be pushed/pulled to accomplish what ?
Weird question, sorry, but have never used it and never locked my Disco. (paranoia) Truly, I do not know what is it for
Any different behavior if the alarm is set or not ? Can you get yourself 'prisoner' ? What if that other CDL control switch is manually set for all doors ?

That is a great question and I hope someone can answer it. I also don't lock the doors for the same reason that you mentioned.

Manual locking mechanism only, you can lock the doors from the inside the door with the door open and then slam it shut except the driver's door.
