Drilling holes in the turn signal will allow the blinker fluid to run out. Drain it every other day or so into a gallon jug and sell it.

This is weird. If the problem was just when you put the turn signal on that would be easy. The brake causing the same thing to happen has me confused. My first thought is a loose wire under the dash that is getting moved just enough to cause an electrical arc.

Very interesting theory, AK... perhaps this weekend i will do some investigating under the dash for loose wires, and will keep this post goin with my findings. Oh, and after my upcoming plugs and wires swap ill post here with results if any in this matter.
thanks for the genuine input AK, man, i know its weird, thats why i just had to post it on here, its got me perplexed!

Every time you turn one on that is more stress on your alternator which in turns puts more stress on your engine which makes it work harder which uses more gas.

P.S.-for those of you with no sense of humor that is a joke.
Turn signals my azz...why O why are you using your brakes...not only does the use of brakes strip precious mpg's from your Rover...using them also drains your personnel strength and causes one to develop Single Brake Leg Syndrome (the non-braking leg is underdeveloped from well...not braking) and adds to driver fatigue. Stay Awake, Stay Healthy, and by all means Stay the hell Away from the Brakes.

Problem Solved! So it was the AfterMarket Trailer Wiring harness. Took it out and now nothing blinks inside the truck!

wasnt crossed up wires, it was the wiring harness for the trailer, which quit on me and was messing up my interior lights making them blink when i hit the left directional signal.
the wiring kit was installed on the driver side, which was kind of dumb because on the passenger side theres a plug already there to hook into. damn previous owners.
