If you still have a locking transfer case installed, and you crawl under and lock it. If not, then no.

Great! Scared the hex outta me! How do you shift it, and is it ok to make short runs?

With the the CDL engaged you can drive it like normal. It's just like a 2wd. I did this for about a week with no issues.

Oh. You mean will it roll away? If you set the hand brake, it uses the rear driveshaft, so you should be fine. Just putting it in park will not work, unless you've locked the transfer case.

hand brake clamps the transfer case.
As long as you are in CDL lock
it should be OK.

That's funny, just this past weekend I learned this. I was on a frame twister portion at a 4x4 OHV park. I had TWO wheels in the air, and TWO wheels on rocks. I set the brake, opened the door, and started out of the truck. Once I let go of the brake, it started to roll forward! Oops, forgot it can still move, even with brake set. It does not set the back brakes like some E-Brakes, but rather sets the driveline leaving the tires on the ground able to transfer the motion to the floating tires.

I just hope I never forget that on a BIG hill some day, as it could get away from you pretty quickly!
