Window sticks

My passenger side window sticks! When the button is engaged the window comes down about an inch or so then sticks and kind of shifts. If I roll it up about a 1/4 of an inch and then down again it works. Whats up with this? My 95 Saab 900 had the same problem but I never checked it out. Maybe I dont know how to roll a window down right or its something I am doing???

There's a big torx bolt that hold the window frame towards the inside of the door (where the latch is) mine all the sudden started doing the same because the window mechanism would just barely hit that bolt as the window was coming down. To test if its your situation also, just unsrew that bolt a few turns and see if it does it. If it doesn't do it anymore, just remove the bolt and install a washer to avoid the bolt going in too deep. if its the front of the window are that does it, there are bolts there too that could cause the same thing. If doing what I described doesn't work, I would do as the guys said and leave it up until you can get it checked if you don't want it to fail with the window down.
Good luck.
Good luck.

Thanks to everyone who gave ideas on this problem. I went ahead and opened up the door to find the regulator arm was bent and the round plastic piece which slides along the track fell off. In short the regulators arm was sticking to a hole in the track so I bent the arm back and now it opens perfect. Nice...

Cool. Glad you found the problem. Sometimes, people tend to screem disaster too fast. But with Land rovers, I think its better this way since parts tend to be quite expensive. But I've found that further investigations often lead to cheap fixes or ways around the expensive stuff.
