So my old wiper motor had finally given up and I purchased another wiper motor to replace with. When I went to change it somethings were odd. The old motor wasn’t mounted with the 3 screws but just sitting loose attached to the wiper frame. I went ahead and installed the new one and everything moved correctly, except whenever I attach the wiper arms they lurch downward and the mechanism locks up. I’ve worked with it but am kinda at a loss. The new motor is used but I tested it and it worked great without wipers but not with. Any suggestions help.
