Default Wipers come on with high beams!

After being parked for a few months while the engine was rebuilt, my 2004 developed an issue.

-When driving with the low beams on, the wipers come on when either the high beams are turned on or the horn is honked.
-The wipers stay on even if the I turn the high beams off.
-The wipers stay on until I turn the lights either completely off or to the driving light position.
-The wipers run a few more cycles then stop in the park position.
-The rear wiper does the same.
-If the lights are off and I flash the high beams or honk the horn, the wipers do not come on. -
-If I don't use the high beams or the horn, the wipers (and the low beam or driving lights) work properly.

Thoughts?

Your wipers are haunted? Sorry, I have no idea save maybe it has to do with the headlight washers that come on with the wipers (as I understand it).

This will stay in the running for a possible cause until I figure something else out!

Thanks for the reply. I did see this but the problem was a bit different and there was no conclusive resolution. I do intend to look into the stalk switches.

I finally made the time to investigate further. The interior fuse box and the stalk switches seemed okay from a cursory look. The next thing I looked for was a grounding issue. The grounding point behind the left headlight was loose! A quick clean and tightening solved the issue. Nice to have a quick, easy and free repair for a change.
