FWIW there was an excellent writ-up on this not long ago. Search for it. There are pics, a step by step how-to, and part numbers listed in the thread. I believe it was even placed in the how-to link at the top of the page. It was done on a D1 so it will be what you are needing. Good luck with the job. Rust seems to be the biggest pain when changing one of these.
