wont start after 7miles of driving

Wont stay running after driving for like 20 min or 10 miles.....then it takes a few hours before I can start again and I've hooked up the code machine and no codes..... .please advise

Crank position sensor. If you want to test before you change it, when stops next time pour water down the back of the drivers side of the engine, see if it starts.
