Ecu mounted
I finally mounted the ecu against the firewall. I can clean up the wiring and be finished with it.

I installed the 4" TF lift kit. Now I have to work on getting new wheels and tires. I didn't take pics of radius arms, watts linkage(I have to press new bushing in the center piece), and pan hard. I painted the radius arms black. the pan hard bar came in black (not sure if that is TF brand?) Brake lines etc... are installed

Nice thread and accomplishments.

I've done a discovery 2 with the ace kit already and it came out very well.

I'd like to do a setup with the 6L80 trans. From what I've read it's more complicated and requires 3x more wiring splices. Are there any step by step guides or resources on how to accomplish all this?

Does abs and traction control still work?

Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the kind feedback.
the ABS still works but traction control currently does not. Few time I reved it and tires spin. but I haven't tried off road. I think it needs a signal from transmission so I have to create one.( Traction control I haven't tested yet, I will have to give update later)

As for wiring there will be a lot more. I will have to put my information together to help other. For now Boulder Charles has posted his information on this thread and it is very helpful so check for it and download that information.

as for installing LS with 6l80 I would recommend the mark 4wd kit as it places the engine in a good position and cost about the same as rw-eng adapter. it also comes with mounts. with rw-eng I had to make motor mounts because I didn't want to spend $200 and still have to weld etc. lol. as for my set up I want to push the engine back 2" so I will be making new motor and transfer case mounts to do that with current adapter. which also means I will have to get new driveshafts for that.. $$$$$. that's why I am recommending the marks 4wd kit.
next swap I do I will use marks adapter.

also to get full functionality you will have to do something with canbus. Boulder Charles also has done this already. and lots of info he posted in the download.

I am currently away so I can't do any work on the D2. but it's currently drivable and off readable. but I sill have to do other things mainly canbus, and fishing the equinox shifter set up to look more factory.
I made a video I will post the link. simple but I will try and make one with more info and not just overview I what I did.

Small update but not much work done yet.
I know from the service manual from discovery and avalanche the fuel pressure is about 8 PSI difference.
so what I wanted to do so I don't have to modify the fuel system was to just replace the discovery fuel regulator. I also know gm has something similar in the avalanche and other vehicles.
because I couldn't find just a regulator to buy and to get a regulator from gm vehicle requires dropping fuel tank on most vehicles I didn't want to do all the work and then find out that the sizes may be different. when I get a chance to go to junkyard and find one easily accessible I will confirm information. Currently I was able to find a source for the fuel regulator separately. If anyone has found them let me know.

Here are the pics. 4 bar or 400kpa

only pic that shows location of regulator

top one- original. 2 other option below. but they are 4 bar pressure.

I have been helping on a build with a L92 and 6L80. Using a Marks 4wd adapter to LT230, agree with the comments above about proper spacing.

ABS, traction control, hill descent all work, all gauges work. A/C works. There are two methods that will work without custom can-bus controllers. Wiring wise, the first method is a bit more complex than ACE wiring install, the second method is a bit more complex than the first. Both require custom module programming.

Working on a write up and parts list as it gets finished. Feel free to send me a PM if you want info earlier.

Techno,
Thank you for the video and for sharing the process.
Any update on progress? Trying to put together a list and see what I need to overcome. Your input is much appreciated.
