Default 2003 Range Rover issues

Hello Guys - I was hoping some of you could shed a little light into what I might be getting into. I am looking at a 03 Range Rover with 140K miles. It has a few issues but what concerns me the most is (1) White Smoke from the tailpipe when cold but is almost completely gone when warm - I'm thinking head gaskets. (2) Transmission seems fine in drive - all gears, all speeds, but when in reverse, it will pop out of reverse after a few feet. (3) The truck is sitting at a normal height, but the suspension warning light is on. (4) ABS light is on.

I don't might working on the truck, it will be a rolling winter project, but I don't want to think all of this stuff is normal, minor stuff - just to find out later somthing different. What I am looking for is - Is any or all of this common fixes for this year and miles? And estimated DIY price range. I just replaced the head gaskets on my 01 Disco which only set me back $450 including the machine shop cost Vs the local garage wanting $2700 and two weeks, so I know it will cost dearly not to fix it yourself.

On last thing - He wants $5,500 for it. KBB fair trade in is $5,700
