Heated windshield only half working
Well it was cold as heck this morning and I had a heck of a good layer of frost built up on the windshield. I got all excited and ran out there to test out the heated windshield. Unfortunately it only worked on the passenger side and it had small gap and then works for a couple more inches but not on the drivers side at all. I read on the Disco forum and they said it is usually the fuse or connector to the windshield. I checked the fuses and they were good. I swapped the relays and we will see what that does tomorrow. I did a quick look for the windshield connectors but couldn't find them. Are they under the plastic cowl? The windshield isn't cracked and it doesn't appear that there is any other damage. Do you think it is likely that all of the elements on the drivers side would be bad?
There is a possibility the elements might be bad, but it is usually the connectors on the P38. At least that is what I have heard. I have a feeling I will be in the same boat here in a little bit.
Thats what I was worried about. I have a knack for cracking those cheap plastic cowls. I might just live without the heated windshield. I'll take a look at it tonight and see if I can pull it off without cracking it.
