Default Oil questions??

I have a 2003 Range Rover and before i purchased it teh dealer was nice enough to do teh 60 K service i paid 29k . I thought it was a pretty good deal. I woulld like to put Mobil 1 Extended Performance instead of teh dealer'sCastro Syntec.

Can i bring my oil to the dealer and filter andwilil they perform the oil service? Also, with the 60k servicean engine flush was not performed and i would like the dealer to conduct air indiction servicewith the BG 44kproducts.

I apologize if i wasn't clear on my original post. My RR03 has been dealer serviced from day 1 and with 64,975 i wanted to know if any one recommends Royal Purple, Mobil 1 Extended Performance or Amsoil? Also what weight would you recommend? The vehicle is predomintaly used for city driving and before my next major service i would like to have my dealer perform an engine flush.

If you have mineral oil now you can just switch to synthetic without a flush. If you have another full synthetic then sticking with it is probably best. If you want to change synthetics most people run a cheap mineral oil for awhile before going to the new synthetic to minimize the risk of base reactions.

As for which to use, the cheapest full synthetic you can get reliably (since changing synthetic is a pain), all of those are good.

First, don't have the dealer do the list of stuff you want done, do it your self and save some money. The B&G is a great idea, using the 44K in your gas tank and the induction cleaner and t/body cleaner is very easy to do.
Call me and I'll be glad to walk you thru it.
