Default Range Rover 4.6l leaks coolant at the back of the block!

Hi guys,

I bought my first Land Rover in May 2008. I love my truck but lately it is starting to giving me trouble. First my drivers side door jammed and is sealed shut. I have tried opening that but the locking mechanism seems jammed. Any suggenstion on that. My latest problem that my heater was not blowing hot air so I decided to check the coolant level in the resevoir tank and that showed low. So I filled it up and driving down the freeway it started to over heat. I caught it right when the temperature start to move up so I placed the transmission in neutral and shut off the motor so it would not get abused. The gage however it hot just fora second before I shut off the engine. I filled the truck back up with coolant and water mixture but now it is leaking. I check the engine block and I see there is a small leak from back of the block right above the passenger side exhaust manifold. It seems like it is coming from the Valve Cover gasket but I can't really tell as it is from the back of the block. Any ideas what it could be?

Well, it could be a head gasket leaking, now you could try one of the better sealers in your antifreeze, dealer will probably charge around $1200.00 give or take to change the head gasket, you will save money if you can find a good mechanic that works on the side
Good luck.
