RangeRover 1995 right front side door won't open
I need someadvice. The right hand sidefrontdoor actuator for my 1995 RangeRover is bad (super lock mode). Are there any easiest and cheaper ways to get it fixed or replaced other than spending $210.00 dollars fora new one?(Part = FQJ103240 roverconnection) Furthermore, I can'tget the door open it all. Help!

RE: RangeRover 1995 right front side door won't open
I would try grabbing the rod that goes from the inside door handle to the latch with a pair of pliers and pull it and see if the door unlatches. It won't be an easy pull, but don't go nuts on it either. If the door unlatches the problem is with the linkage rods. They will need to be adjusted. Adjustment is made by bending the rod itself. If you follow the rod for the outer door handle down to the latch, you will see a screw type adjustment. It should be screwed down just enough to open the door every time and no more. If it doesn't unlatch, then the latch itself is the problem and probably needs to be replaced.Hope.it'll work on your car...God luck!

If you do need a replacement actuator, try breakersyard.com or similar salvage experts. - even ebay has listings for actuators.
normally it is just an adjustment that is required, so when you eventually have the door open, follow kylle08 instructions first.
& then, if proved faulty, save some hard earned £££ by souring the internet for the part required!!
this is your mission...should you choose to accept it!

Its not good when this happens , you will need a new latch assy, the fun part here will be getting the door open.
I had a few do this and if you take your time you can open the door without doing any damage to the door skin. You will need to break the latch assy. to access therelease
1) roll the window down
2) remove the outside window moulding
3) now look into the door and you can see the top of the latch assy
4) you will need to carefully chip away the latch ,( I used a really long # 2 flat blade screwdriver) the result you need is to break away all of the actuator top so you can use that same screwdriver to pop the latch.
This sounds like a hack job but its the only way to open a superlocked door latch that I know of.
