Default Rough Idle and Missfire

Need help with this,

In troubleshooting this problem we have found the ignition wires to be in the wrong order (off by 180 degrees) and we had bad wires. We replaced the cap and rotor along with new Aecell 8mm wires and new NGK platinum plugs. Plus a new vacuum advance as well.

The distributor was also reset to number 1 cylinder TDC so we could time the engine to 8Deg BTDC. (was checked before we removed everything and it was 2 inched away from the markings)

Everything seemed OK and we had a dramatic increase in power. We have now noticed a miss fire and rough idle, So we assumed we did the timing wrong and redid it from scratch again.

We cant seem to get rid of this problem, the engine is not putting out a check engine code either.

Suggestions would be great

Thanks

Ill give it a try in the morning. Ive spent all afternoon testing and trying different things,it just feels like there's no power at the lower rpms. Ill clean the MAF out, If that's the problem then that will be a great relief.

Cleaned the MAF. Rover ran well for a few min at idle, But as the engine warmed up the idle got worse, so rough that the rover shakes and a lack of power when applying throttle. Could it have something to do with the engine tep sensor?
