thanks scott thats the best info i got thus far... the washer in the inside is it located in the the area where the shaft is? i already took the modulator out i ordered a used one but like i said the pump was cutting on and what i did was disconnect the small line going from the pump to the modulator not the high side and i could hear a difference every time connect and disconnect the line as if the pump was coming under load when i connected it
it back to the fluid line?

It will naturally sound like its under load when connected to the modulator. The main question here is, does the pump ever turn off?

bad modulator.....go figure thanks to all u guys for the info

Most likely due to the bad plastic valve. I can feel my pedal clicking, so it looks like I might be tearing it apart one weekend.

can u make some photos of the brake down i want to rebuild my old one
