Default white smoke L322 diagnosis help

Hi all,

I have a L322 with 150k miles that just started to emit puff of white smoke on cold start. Also, started to emit white smoke after wife drove it for about 1hr the other day. I fired it up this morning -- puff of white smoke then seemed normal. Puff of white smoke does not seem to have obvious coolant or otherwise weird smell.

No sign of engine overheating in recent past. Coolant does not seem to be leaking. Connected ODB2 box and only intermittent code I see is P0443 "Evap Emission System; Purge Control Valve Circuit", which has been happening on and off for a while.

In past I have changed water pump twice, along with all of the coolant hoses and assorted other hoses and belts. Hoping it's not a head gasket as probably don't have the skills to fix that and don't really have much of a budget for big repairs.

Any thoughts on how to go about diagnosing the situation?

I very much appreciate any thoughts!
