I think its on the back of the engine near the bell housing. I THINK! Forgive me if I'm wrong. Hopefully someone else can confirm this.

Wouldn't a bad crank position sensor still allow the engine to turn over but not start? Didn't you already say that the problem was the little wire on the starter being broken/corroded? If that wire isn't hooked up, it is not going to start.

I did little wire rot in half. Take a look later. Trying to post pics.

You are right Wilson, my bad. I was under the impression the rover was cranking but not starting.

Thanks guys just did a complete change out. I did by taking pass wheel and shroud off. Bingo right in front of you. Still need extension to brake the top bolt. Well went to auto zone(duralast) life time warrenty for $91. Just hope it last. Warrenty means nothing when stranded lol....
