Default 04 RR-HSE Thumping / Odd Sound.

I've noticed an odd sound on my RR when I start driving it, especially when I turn. I spoke to my bro-n-law and he's under the impression it may be the "Bushings" that are wearing out or have worn out already. If anyone has ever experienced this, can I get an idea of how much those parts may cost? Also, is this a job something someone with some experience can do, or should a certified RR / European Vehicles Specialist have it done? Thanks once again. All help or suggestions are greatly appreciated. Fernando.

You can look over the RAVE download of tech manuals and judge for yourself if the work is right for you. But in addition to bushings, there are the CV joints to consider, normally their sound is more click or pop, but any time some one says "WHEN TURNING" my mind wanders to the CV.

Have the noise diagnosed first before throwing parts at it.

could be anything from sway bar link to a balljoint.

Thanks Fellas, I'll have my tech look at it before the weeknd and thoroughly inspect it. I'm hopping it's just something that needs to be tighten up. Either way, I really appreciate the immediate feedback and assistance. Enjoy your Labor Day weekend.

Yep, hope it is warm weather for your colony... hadn't thought about the perils of Rover maintenance in the buff...
