Default 2003 Disco No Start

We have a 2003 Disco that died on an on-ramp several months ago and hasn't started since. The XYZ has been removed, cleaned and reinstalled.

Here is a list of things that have been replaced: Starter

Coil packs

Spark plugs

Crankshaft position sensor

Fuel pump

The engine turns over freely. We pulled the plug and it was sparking while cranking. There was fresh gas on the plug, so we are getting fuel.

We are stumped. Any suggestions?

Sounds like timing. How is the chain and camshaft? I doubt the 4.6 is an interference engine, but if the timing chain jumped a tooth or something happened to the timing, it would explain why you have a no start. You have fuel, air, and spark, just have to make sure they are all happening at the right time.

Correct that the 4.0/4.6 are Not interference engines.

Check for codes, that can help point you in the right direction.

Absolutely, Codes are not just there to make you fail inspection: They are a useful tool to see inside your engine to find out what is ailing it.
