Default 2005 LR3 HDC fault, Engine fault, lowered suspension,

I started getting the following: transmission fault, HDC fault, Parking brake fault, Engine system fault accompanied by every light on the dash flashing including my hazards. While driving the car doesn't acelerate more than 5 mph. Looks like the transmission its on the lowest shift. restart it and everything will clear except for a couple of seconds. If I disconnect the battery everything will clear, however, it only takes a few seconds for it to
happen again. I took it to a European cars shop and they said there were several fault codes that they blamed on a bad battery and a couple bad sensors. Replaced the battery and IT was fine for a trip. When replaced the battery all of the acid where split over the battery. Now it is worse. Does anyone know of anything else that could be causing this problem? Any help would be greatly appreciated

"when replaced the battery all of the acid where split over the battery" typo? or am I misreading something? these cars do a lot of crazy things when getting under and over charged. if the codes that were read were related to "low voltage" or "over voltage" in any way then I would start by checking to see what the output of your alternator is.

Yes. When removed battery the bottom part was covered with battery acid. Changed the battery and didn't work. Checked the alternator and was overcharged (17 volts). Now replaced the alternator but didn't work either. The engine don't even start 😠. Please any advice its appreciated... I don't have any idea.

I agree with Abran, suspect alternator or bad battery OR BOTH.

Killed an alternator last year, ran on battery power before noticing radio go into 'low-power mode', followed minutes later by full on freak-out, transmission lost 2 gears, all kinds of faults, terrible screeching noises, the works.

EDIT:
If you replaced alternator already, guessing it is somewhere between battery and ignition. FYI several ECU's are near the battery, maybe damaged by acid?

did you buy an aftermarket alternator? you could have gotten another bad alternator if you did. just happened to me this morning on an older RR sport.
