Default 98 Discover I Headlights Will NOT Turn On

About 2 years ago our light switch overheated and melted and therefor we could not turn on the lights. We replaced the switch and it solved the problem. Now, we have a new problem and the headlights will not turn on at all (low or High). The switch is still working but we replaced the bulbs and the fuses and its still not working. The parking lights, break lights, and blinkers work, just not the head lights. Anyone have any other suggesstions on what it might be and how easy it is to fix ourselves?

Thank you for any advice/suggesstion!

I'm guessing that your switch needs to be rebuilt.

I did a write up on it attached. Super easy.

If you replaced with a used switch they are notorious for the contacts getting gunked up/corroded.

The grease the factory used turns hard and actually stops conducting.

It takes 15-30 mins max. Not hard to do
