Hello, New to this site... Anyway I have an 98 disco and my autolock light comes on when starting the vehicle and turns off after 5 mph like it is suppose to do, but now its starting to come on intermittenly and the brakes feel like there pushing back on me. Note: I just spent $560.00 on new front brakes and rotors and it still does this. Any ideas, without me spending up to 450 to a 1,000 Dollars at the dealership to have this issue fixed. Any help is appreciated.

When you say autolock? You mean the ABS light, right? Is that really supposed to stay on until you've throttled faster than 5mph? 'Cuase mine does that, and I was a bit freaked out by it. heh.

 

If you had the dealer do the work, and based on the price, that must be the case, go back to the dealer and ask them what is going on.
Bt the way, for the amount, you could have replaced all your brake rotors and pads with DBA's and Kevlar pads.
Why are you not doing the brakes yourself?

 

Disco Mike, If I new how to change it I would have. I've read something about taking out the abs fuse, What exactally would that do if anything. Is there a cheap way to fix the problem?
