Default ABS MODULATOR ELECTRICAL FAULT REPAIR ( 3 amigos)

Hi I'm new to Land rover and need some help. I have a 2000 disco II. I would like to know if this will fix the problem and tracking control (not sure the name of it but the ones with the 3 amigos lights). Our will this just cancel out the light ? also with the 3 amigo lights on does the all wheel drive our 4 wheel drive still? work again not sure what ones its called. Here is the URL to the repair - ABS Mod - LAND ROVER CLUB V.I.

With a Disco, you can not electrically turn off 4WD. It is always 4WD. You can select high and low speed range, and if equipped, can also lock CDL lever to put 50% power front and rear. The three amigos impact other performance features that are controlled by various computers hidden inside the truck.

You found a good reference to the repairs. Also, if you would like a copy of the factory shop, electrical, and owner manuals they are called the RAVE, and are a free download below.

Also inspect your front drive shaft for being upgraded to greaseable on the double joint. If not, it can snap without warning, and bash hole in transmission. And keep in mind that the factory heat gauge will point at 50% until you are past overheating. A scanner will show the true temp, not "normal" for 130-240F.

So, how mechanical are you. As Buzz mentioned you can not turn it off and yes you will not have the traction you normally would have with the lights off.
If you want some help, send me your number and I'll be glad to walk you thru what needs to be done.

Does this fix the problem so all features work properly or just turn off the lights?
