Brake issues

Default Brake issues

Can anyone help? I have put in a new master cylinder, new calipers, brake pads, brake line and I still don't have brakes. Can anyone help? 1997 landrover.

Check for any brake fluid leaks first! But it sounds like you still have air in the system, so bleed it again. The info above is from the LR RAVE Manual, and there are videos on Ytube for the DI. Good Luck!

Had the same problem. Ended up being the new master cylinder. It was also defective.

Make sure to use a genuine Land Rover master cylinder

Your other post said your brakes were "hissing".
Which sounds like an air leak, and why you have no brakes. Have someone pump the pedal while you look for leaks. Start in obvious places, the MC, each caliper, and every rubber line. Bubbles and fluid should be easy to see.

Found the air leak, coming from the booster, have a poor seal around booster. used silicon to seal and now I have brakes.
