Brake lights and rear blinkers wont work
I bought my 2001 land rover discovery s2 about a year ago, since then i have used these forums allot to fix and diagnose a few problems with it. I love these forums they are so helpful and everyone on here seems really nice but have never had to post to them until now.....
Today as i was driving my kids to school i noticed that my blinkers were clicking really fast and the blinker lights were flashing faster than usual so i checked to see if my blinkers were working, they were not. My bother in law is pretty good at fixing cars so he looked at it for me and realized that the brake lights were not working either. He checked everything he could think of, fuses, bulbs, things like that but nothing he found fixed the problem. We have to drive 1000 miles back to utah from montana in about a week and this is our only car so any help or advice that can be given would be amazing. Thanks in advance.

The rapid blinking usually means you have a bulb out.
But since that was checked, there is a small plunger type switch at the brake pedal. You need to remove the lower kick panel(black color) under the drivers side to get to it.
This switch is what actuates the brake lights. Check that. Also search in the forum for brake switch.
Weird that blinkers and brakes are not working though. Post your issue in the Discovery 2 section and you will get a lot of replies.
