cant get it into low range
Bene-
Did you have any luck freeing the linkage. I' having similar problems, only I can't get the TC in to lock or low range. Haven't had a chance to lube yet. Just wondering if you were successful.

Actually, I gave Bene some bad advise. He can move the transfer box lever from lock to unlock. He can't move the lever from low to high range.
For obvious safety reasons, the vehicle must be in neutral to change ranges. First, with a test light, key on, and in neutral. Check for power on both sides of fuses F12 & F13. Located on the drivers side under dash panel. This may seem simple but it tells a lot.
We'll go from there.

before I got my car I was told this was a problem. The guy said that if I ever got one I should put in in 4L once a month just to keep it from seizing up. I also turn on the heater about once a month even in summer just to keep things on the up and up... my linkage is only 8 years old
