I'll be adding a President Bill CB, and a Yeasu FT 7900 2m/70cm HAM to my 2003 D2 this week. I was thinking that the antennas will go on the mid hood on passenger and driver sides. My roof rack prevents me from pulling in garage anyway. Since the CB is 4 watts and the Yeasu is 50 watts I will have to bring some power into the cab.

Is there a favored spot to go from the engine compartment into the cab? A vulnerable spot in the firewall? I will need also to run the RJ cable back to the engine compartment from the radios so I'll be looking for something big enough to put at least three cables thru.

There are passthrough grommets in the firewall on both sides. Near the fusebox on the driver's side, and behind the BCU/SLABS etc. behind the glovebox on the right.
