Cleaning Engine
Dear Gents,
I am thinking about cleaning my Engine ( top to the bottom ) with an Engine Degreaser this weekend. Before I do so, what extra precautions should I take besides covering the electrical wirings?Just a little advice from the pros, pls!

Here's some tips I've had luck with.
1. Do this yourself at your house, not at a car wash with a high pressure wand. The pressure can so great it can dislodge electric connections.
2. Warm engine - not hot. Turn off engine and apply product. Expect to use at least two or three cans of 'Gunk' or 'Engine Bright'. Allow to soak for about 10 minutes before hosing. Restart engine just before hosing down.
3. Cover master cylinder with a plastic bag. Do same with distributor or electronic ignition module. Be careful not to direct water on these areas. If the master cylinder area needs cleaned, better to do so with a rag.
4. Do this in your yard if the vehicle is particularly greasy. It will make a mess of your driveway.
