DII ABS/TC help
Hey guyswhat's and gals,
I have a 2001 DII SE7 that has some issues I need some help with, especially since I live in Montana with not a Rover guru in sight. So here's the sitrep:
Awhile back I took my DII to a local independent repair shop so they could fix my ABS/TC that wasn't working. They put a scanner on it and determined my Disco had a malfunctioning ABS sensor. So, they ordered a new one from Land Rover. They told me the one they had recieved didn't have a plug on it, so they had hard-wired the plug they got. After it had been installed and I had gotten my truck back and tested it in the dirt, I noticed that the ABS and TC still didn't work. I took it to a mechanic buddy of mine, who told me the shop had not hard-wired the sensor to the male half of the plug, but instead had wired it to the ECM. We clipped the wire, but part of that wire is still attached to the ECM. We didn't want to touch it for fear of hurting the ECM. So now I have a Disco with a new sensor that doesn't work. Any ideas?
Also, my ACE pump is making a loud humming noise. Any cure for that?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Take it back to the shop and give them a chance to fix it. After all, they charged you for fixing it and didn't. (if they make excuses, then get mad and throw things, but give them the benefit of the doubt at first anyway.
)
Hard to tell on the ACE, is the fluid foamy? that would indicate air in the system and that could cause noise, are you using the correct fluid?
