Default Discovery 1 rapid blinking signal lights

Right and left, arrow lights on dash blink rapidly as well. Four way flashers normal.

Front rear and marker bulbs all good. Bumper lights on rear had corroded connections so they are not working at all.

It has some kind of spliced in trailer light wire that I am not fond of. Manual shows a trailer wire connector under right hand tail light within the fender. I will check if that is there in next couple days.

Not sure if a flasher relay could be the problem, or the lack of the bumper lights working. I would imagine many after market bumpers don't run lights in them , so not sure if they would be the issue.

Thanks for any assistance!

Craig

I've got a 1994 and mine does the same, even with the bumper (and all other) lights working. Since these are old style blinking circuits they will blink faster when wire resistance increases. The corroded rear bumper lights and the towing module would be your best bets to resolve first but just FYI the symptom might remain. Will come back here if I find my source of resistance.

Thanks! When either left or right is on the left and right arrow display both blink on the dash , I will be back at my shop tomorrow to take another look at it.
