Default Discovery 2 rear brake

I had my breaks installed by a garage that did other repairs to the Discovery. After a short time I started to have a bad squeak from the real brakes. I looked at the brakes and there was no set screw in the rotors and the pads seemed not to line up with the rotors. The very top of the pads had a lip on them from sitting above the rotors.
Does the set screw not being in the rotors effect how the pads are set on the rotors or are they just the wrong pads installed?
I have cleaned the area where the pads sit and it had no change.
Any help be appreciated

i don't recall any screw in the brake area apart from the often-omitted one that holds the rotor in place until you get the wheel on.
you can check the rave manual for more detailed schematics and detailed disassembly/assembly instructions that you might be able to use to diagnose your issue.
