Default Discovery 3 problem

Hello all
I own a Discovery 3 SE 2005, recently I have encounterd a problem that is repeating itself from time to time, unfortunatly the service garage haven't been able to discover the cause of the problem.

The problem is while driving at 60mph (100kmph) the rpm suddenley drops to minimum and the gas pedal does not respond.
When I stop and switch the engine off and start it again the problem disappears, or if I switch the gear to N for a few seconds and switch back to D the problem also disappears , but the cruise control will not work until I switch the engine off.

When the garage connected the car to the computer they did not find any problem.

Has anyone encountered this problem before? Does anyone know what the origin of the problem is or how to fix it?

Thank you
Danny.

I believe that the throttle is electronic and the gas pedal is not directly connected to the throttle.
It is a "fly by wire" system, meaning there is no throttle cable.
So there is a problem with the throttle position sensor, the resistor at the gas pedal or a computer problem.

clean the throttle with some brake clean but don't overdue it. Same reason why you get a p101.
