Default Engineering code

hello new to the forum
as tempted by my friends wanted to tune up my LR3 a bit
and activate some extra features as CC etc
was told that it cannot be done without engineering code
So since than trying to get one
If any body can help PLEASE!!!!

You need the dealer to turn that stuff on with their computer.
It will not just work because you added a fuse.

actually it cant be done on the dealer level either. It used to be easier to put ids in engineering mode and if the engineers were nice from the UK and gave you the proper codes you could add things like hvac with heated steering wheel and heated windshield both no longer. Even getting the codes were impossible unless you knew an engineer in the states. Trust me lots of guys have bought switches and ecus only to find out its the specialized programming that even on the dealer level is not available.

that what i heard wondering if anyone knows a code so we could give it a try
personaly know a guy who had cc activated by ids with the code
thx for the advice and if you know any code and want to share?
please
