Default this girl has not a cell in her brain of Rover knowledge.

Be patient with me, as I've owned this 1997 discovery 1 for 4 months. The most stressful 4 months of my car history if I may add.
There are 149,500 miles on it.
There is oil and fuel in it. 😉
As of yesterday, the only code that came up was for an 02 sensor.
But today, I was cleaning it all sparkly and nice. Ya know, a little TLC.
And it repays me with not starting. It will turn over but there's no fire. It sounds like something might be royally screwed inside the engine. It has never not stater. (in the last 4 months)
Any obvious reasons?

You probably got the coil packs wet. It may dry out on its own.

I know this sounds silly/simple but is it possible while giving your Rover a lil' TLC you got water up underneath the hood? I parked over a sprinkler head one night and woke up the next day to a vehicle that wouldn't start. It sounded awful.. backfired, cloud of white smoke, etc. After a day of drying out it was fine. I'm sure one of the guys on the forum may have more astute advice but sometimes the simplest things are the culprit.

Good luck!

Hey, thanks!
I'll let it sit overnight and try tomorrow. Although, I probably flooded it. I'll let you guys know!

Sounds like a plan. I flooded mine, kicked the tire, cursed at it, slammed the door and then went inside to take a looooong nap. The next day it started. Oh yeah, and I put a pot over the sprinkler head Keep us posted!
