Help, catalytic converter
Hey all! First post and pretty desperate for info. I have been a land Rover owner for the past 7 years (96 disco, 2002 disco, and currently a 2006 LR3) I took my LR3 "muddin", as we say down here in the south, and got stuck which dented an exhuast pipe between my front and rear mufflers. My check engine light came on. I cut out and replaced the section of pipe and reset the computer. That was 3 weeks ago and the car has run fine. Yesterday the check engine light came back on. The code previously was for the catalytic converter so I'm pretty sure that is the problem. My question is - Is it OK to drive through the weekend if that is the problem. I am going to hook it up to make sure it is the same code. I am supposed to be leaving on a ski trip 300 miles away in about 6 hours, can I cause any damage or is there a possibility that the car shuts itself down? I will be headed into the cold snow so I'm a little concerned.
anything after the catalytic converter will not turn on a light.
But cheap gas that is not premium or 91 octane will.
Do you own a V6 LR3 cause there is a recall for that code its a reprogram. How about after taking it skiing you take it to get properly diagnosed.
