Help wont start.3 hrs from home

Default Help wont start.3 hrs from home

Stopped at store come out won't start starter checked good,...signal lights quit....now fuel pump doesn't come on....it checked out good tho.possibly security I tried recommendations listed I must be doing it wrong or 1515 not code.only owned 1 week.no code left by previous owner.please help.frustrated broke and wanna go home.97 discovery

Sounds like a dead battery, try wiggling the battery wire clamps to see if it's just a loose connection. See if you can get the battery jumped.

battery is new disco cranks but won't start

Where are you located, maybe a member can help? Crank position sensor maybe. I can't remember if the symptoms are the same for D1 as D2.

not sure what we did...but it's back on rd.just now.we pushed the fuel cutoff switch for 5 seconds and messed with starter switch__(just turned it from position 1-3 but not turning it all way over several times)fuel pump began to work again.

update... Seems that there was a kink in wire connected to the fuel pump that when jarred just a little it would prevent pump from working. Apparently needs some new wiring work for sure.
