Default info please

whats the word on how stout and able are the
1998 LAND ROVER DISCOVERY LSE models?

i may just get one of these as it seems they are more readily available.

i noticed some features it had that my 92 RRC did not. like traction control and a more up to date HVAC system.

how do these discovery's compare?

how well do the axles hold up, are these still AWD?

there are a good hand full for sale in the 5k range, i may just finace one. could use the bump in my credit.

any info will be much apreciated

don't waste the time financing one, its a fair bet the vehicle is in **** poor shape and needs lots of work.

I own a 1998 DI. All Discoverys are AWD. 1998 there is no traction control but it does have central differential lock. I personally believe that DI is more reliable than the later DII judging from all the issues I read on this forum. If you keep it stock, the axles are bullet proof. If you start increasing tire sizes, then you are on your own. 5K seems high, but their prices change a lot from one region to another.
