LED DRL's not coming on (2010 LR4)
Hey all, I just picked up a 2010 LR4 this past Friday and I noticed that the led's that go around the headlights (the high/low beam) don't turn on. I was told they come on with the daytime running lights. I checked the fuses for the headlights and it all looked good. I couldn't find anything in the handbook so I was hoping someone here might shed some light. (yup, pun intended)
The LED's are where the arrows are pointing to in this pic:

I'm guessing as the newest model I have is an 04' Disco, but on mine the daytime running lights do not come on without having a Land Rover specific tool/computer to turn on this function. Some regions/markets had the feature on from the dealer others didn't.
I have a 13 LR4 HSE Lux US model and was hoping for the same thing...that is to have the LEDs on all the time, leave the switch in auto so the headlights still come on when the sensors detect they are needed. I have seen the new models year (2105) driving around with just the LEDs on and it looks slick! It looks like LR has also changed these LEDs on the current model to a continuous tube lamp instead of the dots I have. So if anyone knows how to either get the LED dots to be on al the time and still use the auto selection for headlights....or if the whole assembly can be switched out with the latest style (and work)...please chime in!
