Hi All. I am new here. Got a problem with 2003 disco 2. The warning lights on the dash, manual and sport, for the auto g/box flash after selecting reverse gear at the first start of the day. When i select Drive they still flash. If i turn the ignition off, and restart, all is ok for the rest of the day no matter how many times i stop and start the motor. Why only on the first startup does the problem occur, and after "rebooting" it is ok? I believe it could be a problem with the g/box switch and/or the associated harness. As a new switch is £339 + vat i would appreciate some help???

 

Adjust the switch using park and neutral. It's likely just worn a little and you're perhaps putting it into park with more vigor than you think.
