I know this has been covered somewhere in this forum !! But my 03 disco started misfiring, code reader said it was all four (1-3-5-7) After reading about this problem here, problem seemed to point towards coil fail, so after replacing coil (new used) and new plugs and wires and than crank sensor problem is still there ??? Checked connection on coil pack and on spark plug boots still no joy. Is there a relay or a fuse in this system that I might check ? Only money I wanna spend right now is a plastic for sale sign !!!!

 

First you never use a used coil.
Second, your message is confusing, you mention misfire and then jump into a crank sensor issue. Can you be a little more clear on your problem.

 

The culprit in my opinion is the coil. My son and I both had misfires on multiple cylinders on the same bank. I went the route, that may be frowned upon, I know most on here recommend buying only the OEM Bosch electronics, but I went to Advance Auto and purchased new coil for 65.00, since the intake had to be removed, I went ahead and purchased the Kingsborne 8mm wires. Result was no misfires for 6 months now. After that I did the same to my son's 04, and the same result. I am not saying this is your problem, but just relaying my experience. I agree with DiscoMike, there are some things I will not purchase used or rebuilt. Usually starters, alternators or coils. I have purchased rebuilt starters and alternators before with lifetime warranty, but after replacing said items over and over(under warranty), I decided to go with new whenever possible.

 

Yea, now I think that the used coil pack might have been a bad move ($45) could have gone towards a new one !!! Will check with advanced auto in the am.

Disco Mike, just from reading here at this forum, with the problem I have after changing all parts and it's still missing, some say that it could be the crank sensor (was easy to change just a b#%$ to hook up cannon plug) but now I know better !!!

1-3-5-7 do not run off the same coil, so i dont see that as your problem

 

Start by looking for a vacuum leak on the drivers side, your problem is not plug/wire or coil related.
