The plenum chamber uses Loctite 577 and tightens to 24 nm FYI..Thanks Tom

Book calls it hylomar, same as permatex permashield

If you have a spare vehicle I recommend you pull and rebuild it yourself if you feel it needs a rebuild, cheapest option IMO, judging by the big floor drain in your pic you have some sort of shop to work in

I live in a warehouse on the peer in Texas City so, I do have the space.

Still have the same reservations about getting machine work done correctly. I liked the Turner engine idea, especially the (ductile iron flanged linered block casting) thing but would really be interested in hearing from anyone who has ever used them.

I'm glad you replied back with the permatex alternative because no one in town has the Locktite 577.

Still waiting for the RTV to dry.....

That permatex is on the shelf in pep boys

Idk on that port my engine is different

Acually I do need to know...I still can't find where it goes [vacuum]?...Nothing hanging or that I marked when I took the Plenum cover off...
