My lifters are noisy only when accelerating
I can't believe you guys are not reading my posts! I only posted like 20 rants on here the other day without you responding to them! You guys act like you have frikkin jobs or something else to do other than babysit me!
Scout....A CLAMP I WAS SQUEEZING POPPED OFF AND DROPPED INTO THE INTAKE MANIFOLD!! My F*%ing worst nightmare was me having to remove the thing to get it out...it has pretty much been a nightmare since then....
I did label everything and then promptly let the vacuum line that connects to the regulator fall off on my parts table to the back of the wall...that I just found..
I do know what the pressure regulator is because I had just purchased one from Paul and installed it when all this happened..
And sadly no drinking is involved in this, though it is the first time in about a year and a half I have seriously thought about it...getting ready to start it up in an hour or so and probably start drinking again....

Well, I think everything is correct. The ticking has stopped, the fluid levels are staying put and everything is running correctly. I'm going to change the coolant and drive it around town some more today.
Still a bit of noise but nothing like it was before. The f*&^% regulator that I had to modify because it had a different adapter to hose was leaking...so I am off to try a different connector. Everything else seems to be working fine. A 300 mile drive tomorrow so I will be hopeful.
BTW...My retired W5 father really loved your analysis of my silo key skills and reminded me why he recommended IT instead of Army when I was of age...hate you both.
Chemtool was impressive...
Tom thanks as well...

Lol........ Glad your Dad gotta kick out of it, I couldn't stop laughing as I wrote it. The thing is - you take it gd well my man! You definitely like a challenge. That's why we're saying to rebuild the motor yourself, we know you can do it, well, you and all of us can....... once we're off work.
