My work order list!
My truck... 2001 Discovery SE.
Things I want to fix.
1. Window regulator passenger side.
...already removed the interior door skin and can see the small plastic whels in the regulator track are broken. Feel comfortable replacing this on my own. Motor seems to be working fine, goes up and down about an inch then gets stuck. ANYTHING I SHOULD BE CONCERNED ABOUT?
2. Passenger side door lock.
...the door does not open with the opening of the drivers door (manually using key)...nor does it open when using the switch on the dash beside the clock.
3. Tailgate door lock issues
...the tailgate will not open using any of the lock/unlcok methods. Have to crwl over the back seats and use the interior handle to open the tailgate.
4. front sunroof motor not working
...I figure the front motor is easily accessable... the rear..not so much.
5. Windshield wiper just stopped working.
...I have a sense that it is the wiper control arm that is the problem.
FEEL FREE TO COMMENT ON ANY OF THE ABOVE...MUCH APRRECIATED..CHEERS

Hey Mike...thanks for your reply and interest in my problems. We had talked a couple weeks ago. Brett from Denver? I left with my Disco and I am in Canada right now. IMpressed so far with how good the truck is running...just the issues with the WINDOW REGULATOR, PASS. DOOR LOCK ACUATOR, TAILGATE ACUATOR, SUNROOF MOTOR AND THE WIPER CONTROL ISSUE...(still need to buy a key with a remote) all of which are just a matter of swapping out with working units!..I hope.
The ABS light (if you recall was my original issue) has only came on a handfull of times in the last 2 weeks...suspect I will need a wheel sensor of Brakes soon

PS.... I had tested the sunroof motor switches by swapping them....not the issue. Is it normal for the sunroof motors to go bad? and it is accessable by removing the plastic valance...?

Check out www.discoweb.com for that regulator wheel fix. I fixed both rears for a dollar sixty two with parts from Home depot. Its been five months so far so good.
