Default Mystery oil leak.

Hi all.
I posted on here a little while ago but still trying to find the answer or someone with the same problem.

I have an an oil leak coming from behind the engine mounts on both sides of the engine.

Before you say it, no it's not the rocker covers or valley seal. I de-greased the engine and then ran it. The top is completely dry. But when I crawled underneath there is a steady seep coming from right where the motor mounts are on both sides.

Without removing these here I cannot pinpoint the location. So my question is this.

do the motor mounts bolt through the block lending itself to a potential leaking point? The guy who had the car before me had them replaced they are like brand new.

I don't mind a bit of a leak on a landy but this is too much. People in the car park keep asking me if I'm aware of the leak and to get strait to a garage. Never been to one in me life apart from MOT or smog 😁

Any info appreciated.

Clarify which model, year and petrol or diesel, then post in that specific section.
