oil leak

Default oil leak

I have just purchased a 1995 land rover discovery v8i and have found an oil leak coming from above the oil filter i found one from the oil pressure switch so i replaced that then found another one from what appears to be a welsh plug just above the oil filter is it actually a welsh plug if not whats required to repair it well i think its a welsh plug its round and its set in from its sourround a bit

Default front cover spring

it would appear that the leak is coming from the bung where the oil pump spring is any ideas how to repair and that for that advice and link much appriechated

The RAVE manual should have clear drawings and write up on it. Note that other members have posted that they had success on small leaks with the White Shepard Oil Leak product where gaskets are involved. Many Rover things are sealed with hylomar (spelling?) similar to RTV.
