Default P0300 and P1316 codes

97 disco se7, 144000 miles. 2nd/3rd owner. It idles rough and when you give it gas it spits and sputters with no power. You can hear a popping in the air intake and exhaust. These codes pop up and I cant get rid of them. Changed pugs, wires, coils less than a year ago and 02 sensors today. Sprayed out throttle body with carb cleaner and MAF with maf cleaner. What next? I also unplugged the MAF and it made no difference to the way the truck runs but Im not sure if it should. tempted to buy a maf but want to ask you guys 1st. Any help is greatly appreciated!

hmmm... unplug MAF should result in crank, then die promptly at about 500 rpm accord the the RAVE and my DIY test. Well, the first time it did. Then it finally cranked and ran, but it may be using a default. Watching a scanner will tell you if values are changing. A new MAF is pretty high $$, may want to consider used and cleaned up with your MAF spray. IACV could use some of that carb cleaner. Vac leaks?

Other codes?

Watch under hood tonight in the dark for any arcs?

ok still messing with this problem. tried the cigar smoke again and saw no signs of leaks. Put a pressure tester on the the rail and got 12-18 psi, unhooked the vacuum line to the fuel pressure regulator and nothing on the tester changed. bad regulator or bad pump???
